My group is doing a music video to the Childish Gambino song Me and Your Mama for the Music Marketing project. We are creating a brother and sister musician duo but will have an artistic video as their first single.
My group and I researched the marketing tactics of musicians in the Rap, Hip Hop, and R&B genre. Popular among teenagers, they usually have active social media accounts and are very interactive with their fans and what they want to see.
My group’s approach is to tap into the artistic, deep, spiritual messaging of the song with cool visuals to connect with the audience on a creative level.
